BeschrijvingKaart van het westelijke deel van de Indische Oceaan. Madagaskar staat erop en een deel van de oostelijke kust van Afrika. Linksboven staat een kleine afbeelding van Pape Jan. Linksonder is een deel van een windroos afgebeeld, met daarboven een zeilschip. Midden onder is een schaalstok weergegeven. Midden bovenin de kaart zijn twee zeilschepen in gevecht. Rechts hiervan staat nog een windroos afgebeeld. Verspreid over de Indische Oceaan zijn verschillende vissen en zeemonsters weergegeven. Rechtsonder staat een beschrijving van de landen en eilanden die te zien zijn op de kaart in het Latijn en Engels.
